What is a HomeRekkord?

It is the record of everything done to a specific property: work carried out, items installed, servicing, certificates, warranties, manuals, photographs and who supplied each piece of information. It sits with the property rather than with a single document folder.

Who owns the information?

You do. You are the owner of the record for your property, you decide who can see it, and you can export or delete it. HomeRekkord stores and organises it on your behalf.

Is HomeRekkord a government property logbook?

Accepted Answer

No. It is a private product and holds no government or Land Registry accreditation. It is designed with emerging property-data standards in mind, but it is not an official scheme.

Does HomeRekkord verify building work?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not inspect, certify or approve work. We record what was supplied, who supplied it and what evidence exists, and we label each item accordingly.

Can a contractor add information?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can invite a contractor to contribute to a specific job, or a contractor can create a handover and invite you to claim it. Anything they add is labelled as supplied by them.

Can I use it before selling my home?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people start. You can assemble the evidence for a property information questionnaire and share a scoped pack with your agent or solicitor.

Can I share only selected documents?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Share packs contain only the items you tick. Links can be given an expiry and can be revoked at any time, and views are recorded in the audit history.

What happens when I move?

You can transfer the record to the incoming owner, or keep an archived copy and share a pack instead. The choice is yours — nothing transfers automatically.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. You can request deletion from your account settings. We process deletion within 30 days, subject to any records we are legally required to retain.

Is it a native mobile app?

It is an installable web app. It works in Safari and Chrome on iPhone, Android, tablet and desktop, and can be added to your home screen. It is not distributed through the App Store.

How does AI use my documents?

When you upload a document, we read it to suggest details such as dates, companies, serial numbers and warranty terms. Suggestions are always shown for you to confirm or correct, are labelled as read from a document, and are never treated as verified facts on their own.
